Hello, my name is Corey Sims and I am a freelance photographer. My passion for photography originated from my high school photography class, though I wasn’t entirely sure if I wanted to go in that direction with my life. I knew I wanted to pursue photography when I was asked by a friend to do my first photo shoot. I was so intrigued by all that had transpired before, during and after the photo shoot that it had made me want to learn more about how to continue doing so. I’ve been pursuing photography for about 2 years now, participating in classes about the basic camera functions & fundamentals of photography, doing meet & greets with other models & photographers in the Washington, D.C. and Virginia areas, and conducting photo shoots for family, friends and other clients. My goals moving forward include learning new styles of photography that work best for me, continuing to make connections by networking with different people to expand my knowledge & experience, and building my “hobby” into a full time career.
